competitions | club comp results | inter club comp results

Mini Competition Guidelines

These are intended to encourage people to go out and take pictures in the current season and as such are strictly limited to NEW WORK.

Many of them are based around our summer meetings and winter studio sessions. When this is the case ONLY photos taken on those evenings are eligible. In the case of Named Subjects, ONLY photos that adhere to the subject will be accepted.

Entries are limited to 1 digital entry per member which may be brought in on the night. Put your entry on either a Memory Stick/CD

Size to be 1400 (landscape) x 1050 (or in proportion) saved as a 72ppi jpg.
With your membership number plus picture title as the file name. Remember to write your name on your Memory Stick so it can be returned..

Everyone is strongly encouraged to enter these competitions, novice or experienced photographer alike. The whole object is to spend an
enjoyable evening looking at other member’s photos on a linked theme.

All members present will judge the photos on the same evening. There are two run-throughs, the first for everyone to get a good look at the images and the second when we mark the score sheets. The marks are then totalled up & depending on the number of images the results are declared at the end of the evening (if there is a large
number of images the results will be announced the following week).

Entrants can only submit work that has not been placed in previous Tenby CC competitions.

There will be SEVEN (7) competitions:
THREE (3) being ‘Open’ (with up to two prints and/or projected images per entry).
ONE (1) being ‘Natural History’ (with up to two prints and/or projected images per entry).
ONE (1) being ‘Creative’ (with up to two prints and/or projected images per entry).
ONE (1) being a ‘Panels’ competition consisting of Five (5) prints on a linked Theme or 5 digital images also on a linked theme ( a 6th image to be supplied which containes all the other 5 arranged as the intended panel)..
ONE (1) being ‘AV  which will be run as a mini-comp and judged 'in house' by all members present.
